Journalists caught the prototype of the crossover Lynk & Co 01November 23, 2018
The Chinese automaker keeps a prototype of the crossover under a rather “heavy” camouflage.
The Chinese-Swedish car brand Lynk & Co, which in turn belongs to the Chinese brand Geely, has begun road testing of its first crossover. The conceptual version of the model, which received the short name 01, was shown earlier.
So far, there is no data on what name the serial version of this car will receive.
A couple of hours ago, foreign automotive publications published “spy” photos, which captured the long-awaited crossover novelty. Lynk & Co engineers hide the appearance of the car under very strong camouflage. But nevertheless, you can see that in general, the car remains similar to its concept, but the rear end was a bit different.
If you compare the images of the concept and the recently captured prototype, you can see that the latter received a steeper descent of the roof. You can also notice a large window on the tailgate.
The Lynk & Co 01, which was designed in Sweden, will receive a compact, modular Volvo and will be built in China and Belgium. In just 2 minutes 17 seconds, the car received 6,000 pre-orders. Crossover also plan to sell in Europe. The first copies of Lynk & Co 01 will go on sale in 2020. European versions of the car will receive hybrid power plants.
Meanwhile, the third model Lynk & Co 03 from Geely and Volvo is completely declassified in live photos.
