Journalists caught the electric version of the Audi Q2 E-Tron crossoverApril 2, 2019
The new spy shots give the very first look at the environmentally friendly German Audi Q2 E-Tron – this all-electric version of the compact crossover.
The electric model looks pretty much identical to the version with an internal combustion engine, with the exception of a different grid design in the grille. Rear exhaust pipes are not visible – why are they an electric car, but in general this is the same crossover.
Technical characteristics of the German news so far remain unknown. Rumors suggest that the company seeks to stretch the cruising range to 500 km.
Recent reports by insiders also suggest that Audi may sell the new Q2 E-Tron only in China, and a long-wheelbase version will also be made for this country.
The current version of the Q2 crossover is available with a wide range of power units, including a 3-cylinder gasoline engine 1.0-liter engine, as well as 4-cylinder turbo units of 1.0, 1.4 and 2.0 liters. There are also 1.6- and 2.0-liter diesel counterparts.
At the Paris Motor Show in 2018, Audi introduced the “charged” version of the Q2 crossover, which was equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a capacity of 296 hp. A 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox sent power to the all-wheel drive system. This setting is enough to bring the speed of the crossover to 100 km / h in 4.8 seconds. Insiders tell us that soon there will be an even more powerful version of RS Q2.
