Journalists captured the prototype of the updated Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo 2020July 6, 2019
We expect that the Panamera / Panamera Sport Turismo (wagon) 2020 model year will be shown by the end of this year. In the meantime, the first snapshot of the prototype, updated Panamera Sport Turismo, appeared in the network.
Can you believe that ten years have passed since the introduction of the Porsche Panamera model – yes, yes, the car was shown back in 2009. The start of sales of the Sport Turismo (Universal) variant for the Panamera started just two years ago, and now, the guys from Porsche are again preparing an update for this car.
A snapshot of the long-awaited novelty was made by an eyewitness who decided to drive into the local parking lot – this is our first look at the 2020 Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo station wagon.
With minimal hidden body parts and the absence of any heavy camouflage, it seems that the biggest changes in the Panamera Sport Turismos 2020 are in the new rear LED optics – in particular the thin LED strip connecting both rear lights, as in the Porsche Cayenne crossover.
Interestingly, at the moment the front part of the prototype did not receive any changes, and it is unclear whether this is its final view or not – we cannot be sure. The interior of the car also looks relatively unchanged, with the exception of a hidden steering wheel, which means that a new design can be proposed.
Although it is rumored that the updated Panamera Sport Turismo will be offered with hybrid engines, there is also evidence that buyers will receive a 3.0-liter V6 with 330 hp turbocharging. Can we see some improvements in performance in the form of increased engine power in the near future? It remains to be seen.
