Journalists captured the new version of the BMW M2 CSFebruary 20, 2019
The Bavarian coupe version with the CS / CSL prefix should be a bit more powerful than the M2 Competition. In addition, the new product will receive a different aerodynamic body kit, which should affect the dynamic characteristics.
A more powerful version of the BMW M2 is already on the way. “Spy” photos of the new items were published a few minutes ago by foreign publications, it is reported that the car was spotted on the roads of Switzerland. Following the example of the guys from Porsche, the prototype is covered with black film, so it seems that the body is black.
Two places on the car immediately attracted our attention. We firmly believe that we face M2 in the performance of CS or CSL.
Compared with the M2 Competition, this coupe is distinguished by several body elements – the lower edge of the front spoiler and a small rear spoiler. Changes were also seen on the hood and rear diffuser. It is possible that the car will receive a carbon fiber roof.
Massive brakes are clearly visible behind the wheels, and it is rumored that they will be made of carbon / ceramic elements. We also heard that the more powerful M2 will be taught by the 19-inch forged wheels Y-Spoke 763 M. Other details about the technical equipment of the car are not yet available. In the worst case, the Bavarian novelty will get 405 horsepower – under the hood there will be the same in-line turbocharged “six” as in the current M2 Competition. As a transmission, a 7-speed double-clutch transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission can be introduced.
So far there is no data on when the start of sales of the new BMW M2 CS is planned.
