Journalists captured the new Mercedes-Benz GLB-ClassOctober 18, 2018
For some time, the engineers of the German automaker apparently decided to suspend the road tests of the compact Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class crossover. Well, now on the tests it was noticed already 3 prototypes of the novelty. It should be noted separately that each car (among them was a Volkswagen Tiguan) towed a trailer.
This is not the first time when automakers are testing their new products in this way – then there were batteries in these trailers. So it turns out, the new Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class will be electrified?
Hardly. Take a closer look at these trailers. Do you see any signs of connecting additional cables or connectors to the car – they are not! As far as we can tell, these trailers are necessary to test the towing capabilities of the German crossover – judging by the low drawdown of these trailers, they are quite heavy.
As for the prototypes themselves, they were covered in rather dense camouflage. But now, cars do not close the special panels, so you can see the square profile of the novelty.
There is no official data on the engines for the new Mercedes-Benz GLB-Class – most likely, there will be 4 cylinder engines with turbocharging up to 221 hp under the hood. They will probably show the car next year.
