Journalists captured a new generation Audi RS6 AvantMarch 26, 2019
The long-awaited German novelty can be shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. About the technical characteristics of the car, nothing really is known.
Strangely enough, this test Audi RS6 carries much more camouflage than the prototypes of the novelty, which were captured in the previous spy shots. However, all this disguise can not hide the large air intakes in the corners of the front bumper and a more visible splitter. The black areas on the front and rear wings are probably the location of sensors for driver assistance systems. The wagon received big black wheels with five V-shaped spokes. Behind it is worth noting a roof spoiler and a pair of huge, oval-shaped exhaust pipes.
Until now, rumors about the power plant for the new RS6.
Insiders’ messages for 2018 indicate that the performance of the “charged” station wagon can be 605 horsepower, which corresponds to the power of the existing RS6 model in the Performance version. That’s just the torque should increase from the current 750 to 800 Nm.
In addition, it was reported earlier that the German “charged” wagon may be available in two versions with different capacities. Execution with a 605-horsepower engine will be the base case, but buyers eager for more power will receive an increase of 50 hp. There will be an even more powerful version of the model – there is no data about its power indicators, but it is known that it will receive a hybrid power plant.
Current rumors suggest that a new generation of RS6 Avant will be presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany this September. Sales in Europe may begin before the end of the year.
