Jeep unveils super-cross-country Wrangler with 470-horsepower V8 engineNovember 17, 2020
The American automaker has unveiled the production version of the Wrangler Rubicon 392 concept.
eep for the first time in the history of an SUV, Wrangler introduced a version of the model with a 6.4-liter 470-horsepower V8 petrol engine. This engine is also used in the Dodge Challenger and Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT.
As a pair to the power unit, an 8-speed automatic system and four-wheel drive are used. From buzzing to hundreds, the new Wrangler 392 can accelerate in 4.5 seconds.
It is also noted that the SUV received a dual-band transfer case, Dana 44 fixed axles, limited slip differentials on both axles, reinforced suspension with increased ground clearance and Fox shock absorbers. It is reported that the Wrangler Rubicon 392 is able to overcome fords up to 825 mm deep.
The new Wrangler Rubicon 392 is equipped with 33-inch off-road tires, a modified grille, winch, LED optics, and an exhaust system with four tailpipes.
The interior of the novelty has leather trim, an 8.4-inch touchscreen of the infotainment system, which displays information about the trip, GPS coordinates of the car and more.
The new model should go on sale in the first quarter of next year. Prices for the Wrangler Rubicon 392 start at $ 50,000.
