Jeep unveils plug-in hybrid Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xeJuly 21, 2020
Jeep has unveiled the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe, which are the American brand’s first plug-in hybrid models in the EMEA region.
Jeep’s new 4xe plug-in hybrid SUVs pioneered the brand’s journey towards sustainable mobility.
Jeep 4xe models, which are electrically driven, connected, green technologies, show the future of the American Jeep brand.
The 4xe models can be driven in electric mode and are perfect for everyday city driving: the 11.4 kWh battery together with a 60-horsepower electric motor ensures a range of 50 km and zero emissions in all-electric mode.
Both models are true Jeep 4x4s. Due to two electric motors, which are united by the Powerloop function, all wheels are driven, therefore, the driver can be sure that his car will be able to overcome any, even the most severe off-road.
The name 4xe notes that four important indicators are combined in the car: high performance (up to 240 hp), driving pleasure (maximum speed in electric car mode is 130 km / h, in hybrid mode – 200 km / h), fuel economy (fuel consumption in hybrid mode reaches about 2 l / 100 km) and environmental friendliness (CO2 emissions in hybrid mode – less than 50 g / km).
In most European countries, the Renegade 4xe and Compass 4xe models will be available to order from July. Dealers in Europe will receive Jeep 4xe vehicles in September. They will be offered in three versions (Limited, S and Trailhawk) with two engine options (190 and 240 hp), a set of technologies and safety equipment. In addition, new unique electric drive functions and charging stations (public and wall-mounted – easyWallbox) will be available for them.
In addition, a teaser for the JL generation Jeep Wrangler SUV was recently circulated on the Internet. The new model should get a powerful Hemi V8 power unit. The new JL generation Wrangler is a fantastic SUV.
