The company Jeep has released the last copy of the third-generation Wrangler SUV, bearing the designation JK. The four-door car in the performance of Rubicon Unlimited came off the assembly line in Toledo, Ohio.
Jeep Wragler JK is produced since 2007 and for its life cycle sold more than 2.1 million copies. In place of the SUV came the JL generation model, which premiered in November 2017 at a motor show in Los Angeles.
The new Wrangler retained the frame structure, but at the same time received an aluminum body, due to which the mass of the car decreased by 90 kilograms. The off-road vehicle was equipped with a new two-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, operating under the mild hybrid scheme – paired with a starter generator and a 48-volt electrical system. The delivery of the unit was 272 hp. and 400 Nm of torque.
In addition, the Wrangler will be offered with a 3.6-liter atmospheric engine, giving out 285 forces and 353 Nm of torque. Transmission – a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission. In addition, next year the off-roader will have a version with a diesel three-liter engine, the characteristics of which are not yet called. Finally, in a short time, Jeep should present a modification of the “Rangler” with the body “pickup”.
