Jeep is testing a new version of the Wrangler SUVOctober 12, 2019
Journalists captured an unusual prototype of the American SUV Jeep Wrangler, which is likely to be dedicated to the new film in the Star Wars series. Nothing is known about the date of the presentation of the car.
Over the years, we have seen several performances of cars that are dedicated to a particular movie. For example, the Japanese company Nissan has already presented exclusive versions of its models – they were timed to coincide with the film “Rogue One: Star Wars. Stories”.
The American brand Jeep has a sponsorship agreement with Disney and Star Wars, so that the seen instance of Wrangler can also be dedicated to the legendary star saga.
How do we know that this is a special version of the SUV, which is decorated based on Star Wars? Everything is very simple, on the wing, obviously, there is a stormtrooper helmet, and some landscape is depicted on the sides. White wings, a white roof and a white rectangle on the hood with graphics that we cannot identify – everything hints at the appearance of attack aircraft in the film.
But that’s not all. We see something similar to the small Stormtrooper badge to the right of the spare tire – apparently the special version of the machine will be called that. There is also a Mopar sticker on the rear window on the passenger side, and if you look at the landscape graphics, you can easily see the outlines of the classic Willys MB SUV from the Second World War era (1941). It was from this machine that the history of the American brand went.
The prototype seen will also receive off-road lights mounted on the front bumper and near the base of the front struts. Finally, there are several points along the side, especially in the center of the wings and around the handle of the tailgate, which … well, apparently, they also need something.
What does all this mean? Perhaps the new version of the SUV, called Stormtrooper, might be part of the Mopar Parts update for the release of the movie Star Wars: Skywalker. Sunrise in December of this year. As for the progenitor of all Jeep cars and sending them to 1941, everything is also quite simple here – the year 2021 will be dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the American brand.
