Jeep Gladiator pickup will get a 260-horsepower diesel engine V6July 11, 2019
From official sources it became known that the mid-size pickup Jeep Gladiator will be offered to European motorists with a diesel engine V6 260 hp. But the car will not go on sale until 2020.
The new Jeep Gladiator pickup is already being sold in the United States and I must say very well – by the results of May, 2,548 copies of the model were sold at an average price of $ 56,503. There is also a more powerful version of the Hellcat V8 truck from the Hennessey tuning studio, which costs as much as $ 200,000.
Meanwhile, Jeep also plans to start selling cars on the Old Continent – sales are scheduled for the “end of next year”. European customers will be able to get a new version of Gladiator. Starting tomorrow, the Camp Jeep annual event will be held in San Martino di Castrozza, Italy. That is where the official presentation of the American pickup will take place.
Jeep will sell a pickup truck in Europe with only a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine, which is expected to provide “approximately 260 horsepower and 600 newton meters of torque.”
The pair will operate an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system. The standard version has a function to start and stop the engine.
For the markets of the Middle East, Jeep will offer its customers the Gladiator with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. It provides 285 hp of torque. (347 Nm), and, again, will only come with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
