Jeep Gladiator pickup will arrive in Europe by 2020March 9, 2019
Off-road truck has its own dedicated audience around the world. After passing the update of generations, the car has become even more attractive, but rush demand is not expected.
For fans of pickups, there was great news – Jeep Gladiator, built on the new SUV without the Jeep Wrangler, will arrive in Europe in 2020. The model will also arrive in the UK. “He will arrive in the first or second quarter of 2020,” said Jeff Heines, head of the European brand Jeep. “We do not expect large sales, but our customers will appreciate the new product.”
Unfortunately, the company has not yet begun to talk about the motor line of the European version of the Gladiator. In the US, the car is offered with a single 3.6-liter V6 engine capable of developing up to 285 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The 3.0-liter turbodiesel will be available later and will boast 260 horsepower of maximum power, as well as 600 Nm of torque.
The new version of the Jeep Wrangler in Europe is presented with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel capable of developing up to 200 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. Also available is a version with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine with up to 267 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque.
The cost of off-road pickup Jeep Gladiator is not reported. Also remain unknown plans for the company in the domestic market.
Meanwhile, the Jeep Renegade and Compass received 240-hp hybrids. Now both models can boast of powerful hybrid systems with an electric range of up to 50 km.
