Jeep Gladiator Hercules Performance is already in the works?January 8, 2019
The long-awaited Jeep Gladiator we saw at the end of 2018, and despite this, it is still impossible to buy it. First deliveries to dealers are expected only in the second quarter of 2019. In the meantime, the company is thinking about a “charged” version.
Unverified rumors have appeared on the Web that Jeep is already preparing the first prototypes of the “charged” Gladiator Hercules Performance pickups. While the model is not officially confirmed, and top managers do not predict any specific actions. Now the development is at the stage of studying what the model can offer to customers, as well as the potential demand for such a version. It is assumed that the model will be able to compete with the top Ford Ranger Raptor.
It is worth noting that the chief designer of Jeep Mark Allen has already hinted at the prospect of releasing a powerful version. Then, as part of the Los Angeles motor show, he mentioned that the company is preparing a faster SUV, which will expand the line of Jeep soon. But this does not mean that it was then about the future of Gladiator Hercules.
If the future Hercules is approved, it can get an engine that significantly surpasses the unit on the current pickup version (3.6-liter Pentastar V6 with a power of up to 285 forces and 350 Nm of torque). He also gets a new aggressive body kit.
If the idea comes true, then we can expect a preliminary presentation by the end of 2019, and the sale will start no earlier than 2019.
