Jeep Compass receives Sun & Safety special editionMay 11, 2020
The new SUV literally combines all the safety technologies and gets a sunroof.
First introduced in 2006, the Jeep compact crossover is currently available in the second generation, updated about three years ago since then. It’s time for Compass to brush up on an assortment of engines, as well as standard equipment in all directions. But this does not mean that the current Compass will not attract attention. The limited edition Sun & Safety gets all the safety technologies available in the Compass line, as well as several convenient add-ons.
The Jeep Compass Sun & Safety is available for both front-wheel drive and 4×4 models for $ 28,815 and $ 30,315. The standard equipment of the special version included a set of 17-inch aluminum wheels with all-weather tires, a panoramic sunroof with two windows, remote engine start and a leather steering wheel. Unfortunately, the basic package includes only two body paint options: standard white and two-tone white.
Most of the updates come from active and passive safety systems, including the Safety and Security Group and Advanced Safety Group packages. This means that when you purchase the Jeep Compass Sun & Safety you get the following features: blind spot detection and rear cross movement, ParkSense rear parking assistant, rain sensor and burglar alarm.
The list continues with adaptive cruise control, an extended braking assistance system, automatic high beam, a warning about a head-on collision, a warning when you exit a lane, and a rear-view mirror with automatic dimming.
