Jeep added to a new Wrangler diesel engineJuly 4, 2018
Company Jeep has distributed photos and specifications of off-road car Wrangler of new generation for the European market. The model will initially enter the market with a diesel unit, to which by the end of the year will join the petrol turbo four.
Wrangler will receive 200-strong diesel Multijet II in capacity of 2,2 liters, giving out 450 Nanometers of the twisting moment. The four-door Sahara variant with this engine can accelerate to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds. The maximum speed of an off-road car will make 180 kilometers per hour.
Subsequently, the European lineup will be replenished with a 272-hp (400 Nm) gasoline engine in capacity of two liters. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV will be offered in three versions: Sport, Sahara and Rubicon. The first two of them have a full-drive Command-Trac with a two-stage dispensing and mechanical locking of the rear differential, and the Rubicon is a creeping transfer box with a gear ratio of the lower gear ratio of 4.0 versus 2.72 for the conventional Wranglers, and compulsory locking front, rear inter-wheel differentials and an open front stabilizer.
