The new edition of the Japanese Honda Odyssey is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the model. Regardless of version, all of the 25th Anniversary Accessory Package receive a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard.

In the first seven months of this year, Honda sold 56,611 units of the Odyssey minivan, which is 6.5% less than in January-July 2018. In an attempt to increase sales, the model enters the 2020 model year with an additional package of accessories – a new version of the car dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the launch of the Odyssey in 1994 in North America.

For an extra 2,800 dollars, you get exclusive 19-inch wheels installed by the dealer, a chrome roof rack and side moldings, a chrome rear bumper protection and a special keychain. Honda will add illuminated window sills with the logo of the anniversary version, as well as special badges that adorn the front fenders and tailgate.

Perhaps more important is the company’s decision to make the 10-speed automatic transmission and Idle Stop system standard for all versions.

Idle Stop reduces fuel consumption by automatically turning off the engine after the minivan stops at least two seconds. As soon as the driver releases the brake pedal, the engine starts again. All versions of the minivan built in Alabama are equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 hp. and a torque of 355 Nm.

Prices for the 2020 Honda Odyssey LX base model are $ 31,785, and rise to $ 48,415 for the most expensive version. Even the base model has automatic climate control, a polygonal rear view camera, push-button start and two USB ports.
