The legendary supercar Jaguar C-X75 was put up for auction in Abu Dhabi. This is a car with an interesting history. He was on the set of a James Bond movie.

At the Sotheby’s auction in Abu Dhabi (the capital of the UAE) will put up a supercar Jaguar C-X75, which can be seen in the James Bond film “Spectrum”. The car is one of four instances that were built to shoot chase scenes. It is expected that the price of the lot will be from 800 thousand to 1.2 million dollars.

The concept car Jaguar C-X75 debuted in the 2010th year at the Paris Motor Show. The two-door supercar is equipped with four electric motors and a traction battery. It was fed by two gas microturbines. It was reported that the total capacity of the hybrid installation was 779 horsepower. The supercar could accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.4 seconds, and its maximum speed reached 330 km / h.

Later, Jaguar decided to build 250 copies of the C-X75 supercar at a price of 700 thousand pounds. Serial versions of the supercar lost microturbines, in place of which engineers installed a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 500 horsepower – this engine was supposed to appear on a commodity compartment, but in 2012 the development was stopped. Only 5 copies of the C-X75 were built.

In 2014, the producers of the film Spectrum ordered six supercars from Williams Advanced Engineering: two “standard” and four for chase scenes. As the power plant, a V-engine from F-Type was chosen, working in tandem with a six-speed Ricardo gearbox installed according to the transaxle scheme. It is also reported that these instances received a rear limited slip differential, one gearshift paddle switch and a hydraulic hand brake for drifting.

The car for sale is the first of four supercars for the chase. As work on the movie was completed, the Jaguar C-X75 was returned to Williams, where he completely went through the engine. In 2015, the supercar took part in the Mexican Grand Prix. In May 2016, Jaguar sold this copy to its current owner
