Jaguar to stop selling XE sedan in select markets

According to an official press release, the premium automaker plans to remove the Jaguar XE sedan from its price lists. The document provided the main reasons for this decision.

Jaguar updated its smallest sedan, the XE, last February. He got changes inside and out. Now there is information that after the termination of sales of the sedan version of the 2020 model year, the British brand will completely remove this model from its price lists. It is noteworthy that this news came a few hours after it was announced that further sales of the XF Sportbrake station wagon in the US market were stopped.

“2020 will be the last year of sales for the Jaguar XE sedan in the US,” Jaguar said in a press release. The British automaker acknowledged that buyers should look at the revamped XF sedan as it “offers more value to the entry-level brand’s sedan buyers.”

If we look at the price tags of these two models, we find a significant imbalance between the base prices of the XE and XF. The 2020 XE starts at $ 40,950, while the 2021 XF starts at $ 45,145

This leaves the manufacturer the opportunity to transform the E-Pace crossover into “the most affordable model of the Jaguar brand.” There is no word yet on how much the 2021 model year version of the crossover will cost. The 2020 E-Pace costs at least $ 41,000, making it just $ 50 more than the XE.

Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that they demonstrated the updated Jaguar XF. The company Jaguar presented the restyled Jaguar XF sedan, which received not only a “refreshed” exterior, but a number of technological improvements.
