
Jaguar Project Vector platform concept revealed

Jaguar Land Rover introduced a new platform for autonomous electric vehicles of the future. The Vector project, part of the company’s Destination Zero plan for a cleaner and safer future, represents the company’s vision of an “autonomous, electric future for city driving.”
“Jaguar Land Rover understands the trends that shape modern society. The Vector project shows that Jaguar Land Rover is a leader in innovations that make our lives safer and healthier, and with a cleaner environment, ”explained Ralph Spet, Chief Executive Officer of Jaguar Land Rover.
The platform, developed at the National Center for Innovation in Automotive Engineering, is four meters (157.4 inches) long, and all of its battery and transmission components are packed on a flat floor, increasing its versatility and giving a lot of space in the cab, which can be used at the discretion of engineers .
