Jaguar Land Rover reduces production due to BrexitJanuary 23, 2018
The British concern Jaguar Land Rover will reduce volumes of release of cars at the factory in Halvud in current year on a background of slowdown of internal demand. The reason is the uncertainty with Brexit and the fear of consumers before buying cars with turbodiesel. This is reported by the publication Autocar with reference to the company’s press secretary.
According to the publication, the manufacturer of Merseyside plans to use a temporary reduction in production to balance the demand for Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport. For the concern, changes in production at the Halwood plant are “standard business practices.” The staff was already informed. The announced reduction is planned for the second quarter of this year.
“Jaguar Land Rover spent another year with a record level of sales of cars. We have been demonstrating a steady growth in sales for seven consecutive years and are the largest car manufacturer in the UK. However, the automotive industry continues to face a number of problems that adversely affect consumers’ confidence, “the company spokesman said.
