Jaguar I-Pace software update opens up new possibilitiesDecember 9, 2019
The software update uses data collected in the I-Pace eTrophy racing series to improve battery performance and battery life.
Jaguar has released a software update for its all-electric I-Pace SUV, which uses the data collected by its unique I-Pace eTrophy racing series to optimize vehicle transmission. The software is standard for all new I-Paces ordered from now on, although existing owners can visit the nearest dealership to install the latest software for free.
In particular, the new Jaguar software update adds an I-Pace of 20 km of real range. Now, the 90 kW / h I-Pace lithium-ion battery can safely work to a lower charge level than before, without compromising on the controllability or performance of the car, while the SUV’s regenerative braking system updates allow it to more efficiently save energy while slowing down .
Changes to the all-wheel drive I-Pace system also indicate that the car has now become more economical and in ECO mode with hypermillia. Finally, an update to the I-Pace predicted driving range calculation algorithm provides a more accurate idea of the remaining charge of the car, while reflecting the user’s personal driving style.
