Jaguar I-Pace has undergone numerous crash tests for 5 star safetyDecember 7, 2018
It’s hard to watch, but Jaguar had to sacrifice a few copies of I-Pace electric crossovers for crash tests. Published a video on which the model supposedly earns 5 stars of security.
Jaguar I-Pace received five safety stars rated Euro NCAP. For this, numerous tests were carried out: a head-on collision with partial and full overlap, a side collision, and a side collision with a pole. In all tests, the car proved itself well and leaves many chances for passengers to receive only minimal injuries.
In addition to the overall result, the agency revealed a more detailed rating. Thus, the electric car provides 91% safety for adult passengers and 81% for children. In addition to regular tests, tests of modern electronic security systems were conducted. The video demonstrates the operation of an emergency automatic braking system, the detection of pedestrians and cyclists, as well as the prevention of unintentional crossing of the dividing line.
Another interesting challenge was the safety check of an accident with a pedestrian. The model is equipped with a special hood, as well as airbags for pedestrians.
Meanwhile, Jaguar Land Rover will miss the March motor show in Geneva. However, the novelty of the concern will not remain without an official presentation: they will be shown at special events organized by the automaker itself.
