Jaguar I-Pace 2022 debuts with technology upgrade and fast chargingJune 10, 2021
Back in 2019, Jaguar became the first manufacturer to win 3 different categories in the World Car of the Year competition with the I-Pace. The electric crossover has been praised for its eye-catching looks, exceptional performance and day-to-day capabilities. The British concern wants to build on these advances by releasing an updated version for the 2022 model year.
The appearance of the Jaguar I-Pace 2022 at first glance will not differ much from its predecessor. If you look closely, you can see the new Atlas Gray grille tip trim, which can be complemented with the optional Bright Pack. It consists of a Noble Chrome grille surround, Atlas Gray mirror caps and rear diffuser, and satin chrome window surrounds.
The interior features the new Pivi Pro infotainment system with restructured menus and an improved display giving access to 90% of common tasks with two taps or less. Jaguar also promises an improved navigation system with information available on charging stations and estimated charging times.
The 2022 I-Pace even comes with an 11 kW charger as standard, which extends the range to 101 km in 15 minutes from a 100 kW DC charger.
Power is provided by two electric motors with 394 “horsepower” recoil. This power is enough to accelerate from 0 to 96 km / h in 4.5 seconds.
The I-Pace HSE comes standard with 16-way electrically heated and cooled leather front seats, adaptive LED headlights with automatic high beam, electric tailgate, 20-inch wheels. There’s also a 16-speaker premium audio system and a large family of electronic assistance and safety systems.
The refreshed 2022 I-Pace will go on sale later this year with a starting price of $ 69,900. The electric crossover will be sold with an eight-year battery warranty for 160,000 kilometers and a 70% uptime guarantee.
