J.D. Power named cars with the best multimedia complexesSeptember 13, 2020
J.D. Power experts has released an annual rating of satisfaction with the quality of car multimedia systems.
This list is compiled on the basis of feedback from car owners or renters of cars of the 2020 model year. Each owner took a survey after 90 days of using the multimedia complex in his car. More than 87 thousand motorists took part in the J. D. Power survey.
First of all, analysts noticed that the greatest number of complaints was caused by the system interfaces, but many difficulties can be solved thanks to the software update of the multimedia complex. Experts also found that updates often bring new problems, which greatly annoys users.
The Dodge Challenger scored 938 out of 1,000 and became the leader in the midsize and large vehicle segment. The second position went to the Kia Telluride crossover with a score of 920 points. Dodge Charger (919) closes the top three. In the class of mid-size and large premium cars, the BMW X6 took the leading position with 934 points. The top 3 also includes Lincoln Navigator (925) and Cadillac Escalade (923).
In the compact and small car class, the winner was the Nissan Sentra sedan (914), while the second and third places went to the Chevrolet Sonic and Toyota C-HR with 910 and 909 points, respectively. The multimedia complex of the Korean Genesis G70 was named the best among compact and small premium cars. Lincoln Corsair (909), BMW X4 and Jaguar E-Pace (907 points each) received high performance.
