Italian tuner refined 40-year-old hatchback of the former head of FiatNovember 16, 2018
Atelier Garage Italia Customs restored the car Gianni Anelli
Italian studio Garage Italia Customs, which belongs to Lapo Elkann, the youngest grandson in the past of the main shareholder of Fiat, Gianni Agnelli, presented the restored hatchback Panda 4×4 of the late 1980s. On this car, Agnelli once drove along the roads of Swiss St. Morz.
As they say in the company, Agnelli traditionally used a helicopter to get from Italy to Switzerland, and then transferred to the all-wheel drive Fiat Panda 4×4 hatchback, which he used as a personal vehicle. The car is equipped with a 1.1-liter engine, delivering 53 horsepower.
The studio did not refine the technical stuffing of Panda, but completely restored the car body and altered the interior. The interior is trimmed with a dark blue fabric by Vitale Barberis Canonico, a major Italian manufacturer of costume fabrics, whose history has been traced since 1663. This shade was chosen because it was considered Agnelli’s favorite color.
The sides of the seats were trimmed with leather, onto which the Garage Italia Customs logo was applied.
Whether it is planned to sell the car, or whether it will remain at Elkann, is not specified yet.
