Italian supercar Maserati MC20 gets cool exhaust soundSeptember 14, 2020
Thanks to Youtube blogger Supercar Blondie, for the first time we can hear the exhaust sound of the brand new Italian supercar Maserati MC20. In addition, the blogger gives us the opportunity to get to know the car better.
The MC20 has a lot to admire. In addition to the fact that it is the Italian automaker’s first supercar in 15 years, its 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 engine, also developed by the company’s engineers, is located behind the seats. Thus, it is a mid-engined car.
Again, the Nettuno (that’s what they decided to call this engine) has many features, for example, it has a few tricks from the engines used in Formula 1 racing cars. The MC20 develops about 621 horsepower (729 Nm), which allows the supercar to accelerate in 2.9 seconds to a speed of 100 km / h and a top speed of 323 km / h.
The lightweight construction of the MC20 supercar, which is made of carbon fiber, weighs only 1,500 kg. At the same time, the supercar demonstrates the best-in-class power-to-weight ratio – 2.3 kg per horsepower.
If you want to hear what the latest Nettuno V6 engine sounds like, the video on this page includes a section of it in action. It’s a great drone that could epitomize what Maserati’s first own engine should sound like.
The rest of the video gives us a “quick look” at the Italian company’s newest flagship, showing us what a $ 210,000 supercar looks like in metal, not just static pictures. MC20 will hit the market next year.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote that Maserati announced the debut of the new generation Maserati GranTurismo. It is known that the novelty will acquire a fully electric version.
