It became known who will lead the Tesla Model S to a recordSeptember 9, 2019
This story began last week when Elon Musk announced that Tesla would prove in practice the superiority of the Model S over the Torscan electric (and very fast) four-door presented by Porsche. The proof, according to the head of the company, is an attempt to break the Porsche record at the Nurburgring (and we have already compared both electric cars, and Model S seems to have a chance).
Ex-Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg responded to the statement with the following tweet: “Call me if you need a decent driver.” And, of course, Musk agreed.
But that’s not all: according to some reports, the company was able to agree with the Nurburgring administration to conduct tests, and Model S can really appear on the highway this week – if the process does not hinder the presence of the head of the company at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
We can assume that the participation of the 2016 Formula 1 champion in this exciting event will result in a really impressive event: it would be strange, given the situation, to expect from Tesla, for example, a “record” in the number of laps on the highway on a single battery charge. It should also be noted that Rosberg is an open supporter of “green mobility” – this is manifested both in his participation in the promotion of electric Formula E, and in the active personal use of electric vehicles.
