The Japanese automaker may unveil an upgraded version of its Isuzu D-Max pickup truck. Recall that the third generation of this model debuted in 2019 in Thailand.
Isuzu is thinking about how to make the D-Max pickup, which changed generations last year, more competitive. The Japanese truck will have to compete with serious opponents – the Ford Ranger Raptor and the Nissan Navara N-Trek Warrior.
During the launch of the “third” D-Max in Australia, it was announced that the automaker was closely monitoring the success of its flagship. According to the management of the Australian division of the brand, while the company is only studying the demand for so-called off-road pickups. There is no clear plan for the implementation of such a modification.
Recall that the line of available versions of the new D-Max is headed by the X-Terrain with a double cab. The pickup in this version differs from other modifications in a number of external modifications.
At the same time, according to experts, in order to compete with the same Raptor and Warrior, the Japanese pickup will have to be updated in the technical part. For example, increase engine power or get an improved suspension. Also, a pickup truck could use an off-road body kit.
The new generation pickup truck is now equipped with a three-liter turbodiesel with improved performance. To get ahead of the competition, the Japanese will have to update this motor again.
Meanwhile, Ram has decided on the date of the premiere of the most powerful Ram Rebel TRX pickup. The novelty will acquire massive off-road wheels, a brutal radiator grille, a special off-road suspension with high ground clearance and new shock absorbers.
