Is the Porsche 911 Carrera GT3 RS sporting a Range Rover Sport SVR faster?April 30, 2019
What do you think, who is faster – the bulky crossover Range Rover Sport SVR or the relatively light Porsche 911 Carrera GT3 RS coupe. A more powerful version of the British crossover can boast a furious jerk from the spot, but the German coupe has a much lower weight.
We recently saw on YouTube a few videos about drag racing – this is a ride for a while in a straight line. I must say that we really like this kind of race, although the race is always great. The vehicle of interest in this particular race is the Range Rover Sport SVR large and fairly powerful crossover.
This crossover boasts a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine producing at least 575 horsepower that is transmitted to all four wheels. On assurances of the guys from Land Rover, the acceleration of this car to 100 km / h will be 4.3 seconds, but is that enough to overtake the German rivals from Porsche and Audi?
This kid, in spite of its rather large size, can wipe the nose of many sports cars.
Before we answer this question, there is still something to be said about this particular Range Rover. He received a “package” of upgrades from the British tuning company SUV Urban, which, among other things, gave the car carbon fiber parts. There are no data about power changes.
But will all this be enough to overtake the high-performance sports coupe 911 GT3 RS? Despite the fact that this car has significantly less power than the SVR, hardcore Porsche is much lighter and, at least on paper, can accelerate to a speed of 100 km / h in about three seconds. So SVR does have a chance to win.
