Introduced updated Nissan KicksMay 8, 2020
An inexpensive crossover is presented in India, and its update for this market has become compelled due to toughened environmental standards.
The Indian version of the Nissan Kicks crossover has been updated. Due to the new economy, the previous turbodiesel was replaced with a 1.3-liter gasoline engine with a turbocharger, familiar to our motorists by the coupe-like crossover Renault Arkana. Now Kicks can be purchased in two versions: with a one and a half liter petrol aspirated engine producing 106 hp, or with a 1.3-liter 156-horsepower turbo engine. The new engine also affected the list of transmissions available for the model: for the first time, the Indian Nissan Kicks received a CVT. Prior to this, buyers could only rely on manual transmission
But the crossover still does not have all-wheel drive – a non-alternative front.
Also, during the upgrade, the crossover received a richer list of available equipment. Now the SUV is equipped with a start-stop system and an optional engine start system with a button. Production of the updated Nissan Kicks will begin at the local car factory immediately after lifting the restrictions imposed in the country due to coronavirus. The enterprise will be able to start the conveyor at the end of May or in June – these are indicative dates.
