The Mercedes-AMG GT has received updates for the 2021 model year. The newest car has got a modernized engine.
Now the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine develops 54 hp. (523 hp) more than its predecessor, while there is no information about the “charged” versions of the GT C and GT R yet.
The modified unit allows the AMG GT to accelerate to 97 km / h in 3.7 seconds, 0.2 seconds better than the previous generation model. A coupe can accelerate to a maximum of 312 km / h, while a roadster can accelerate to 310 km / h. Together with the unit, a 7-speed automatic transmission with two clutches functions.
The revamped AMG GT also features AMG Ride Control suspension with adaptive dampers, an electronic limited-slip rear differential and high-performance composite brakes with red calipers, a lithium-ion starter battery and a new ride mode called Race.
In addition, the new car has acquired a new special version of the Stealth, which is available for both coupe and roadster. As the name suggests, the special version assumes a completely black exterior and interior design. The Stealth Coupe gets a black carbon fiber roof, while the Roadster gets a soft top, also painted black. At the same time, in addition to the black palette, the new special edition is available in two different shades of gray.
The Stealth version includes the AMG Exterior Night package, which consists of black brake callipers, dark Panamericana grille trim and matt black wheels. As for the interior of the new Mercedes-AMG GT in a special version, here a black shade is used everywhere, and there is also a special plate indicating the uniqueness of the car.
Sales of the updated Mercedes-AMG GT are set to begin in the first half of next year, with prices to be announced later.
In addition, it was recently noted that the new Mercedes-Maybach S-class will become even more luxurious. It should be emphasized that the premiere of the luxury sedan of the German car manufacturer will take place in November this year.
