Volkswagen has introduced a new model, which was called the T-Cross. This is the smallest crossover in the line of German brand.

The overall length of the Volkswagen T-Cross, built on the modular MQB platform, is 4.11 meters. The car turned out about 54 millimeters longer than the Polo hatchback, sharing the same chassis with a crossover, but 12 centimeters shorter than the T-Roc and almost 38 centimeters less than the Tiguan.

The wheelbase of the novelty reaches 2563 millimeters, which is 114 millimeters less than that of the Tiguan. Thus, T-Cross was close in size, for example, to the Nissan Juke, the length and distance between whose axes are 4135 and 2530 millimeters, respectively.

The seats of the front and rear passengers are located at a height of 597 and 652 millimeters above the road, respectively. In the crossover, passengers sit about 10 centimeters higher than the Polo hatchback.

The rear row of seats can be moved forward by 14 centimeters, increasing the free space in the cargo hold from 385 to 455 liters. With folded second-row seats, the trunk volume will increase to 1,281 liters. Also for the transport of long-lengths, you can fold the back of the front passenger seat.

All T-Cross – front-wheel drive. The model is offered with two three-cylinder petrol turbo engines of one liter, which give 95 and 115 power. Also available is a 1.5-liter “four” with a capacity of 150 hp. Only one diesel engine – a 95-hp unit with a volume of 1.6 liters. Depending on the version, the crossover is equipped with a five or six-speed manual or a seven-speed robotized transmission with two clutches.

The equipment includes new LED headlights, electronic dashboard, multimedia complex with an 8-inch screen and four USB ports, adaptive cruise, wireless charging for a smartphone, 300-watt Beats audio system with eight-channel amplifier, automatic dipped beam switching to tracking, tracking behind dead zones and the number of movements, as well as the prevention of frontal collisions.

In Germany, prices for VW T-Cross will start at 17.9 thousand euros. Production models will be adjusted in the Spanish factory brand, which is now collected hatchbacks Polo.
