The American company introduced the mid-size crossover GMC Terrain in the off-road AT4. Sales of new items are scheduled for this fall.
In March 2018, GMC promised to release an off-road version of AT4 for each car in its lineup, with the exception of Savana, which is a frankly old model. It all started with a Sierra AT4 pickup truck – such a performance of the car was introduced last year, the Acadia crossover in the AT4 version was shown in the first half of 2019. Then came the Sierra HD AT4, and this Monday the Canyon AT4 truck debuted.
Last night, at a special event in Colorado (USA), GMC introduced the mid-size crossover Terrain AT4 and it must be said that its presentation was a complete surprise to everyone who was at this “party”. Thus, at the moment, off-road performance AT4 is presented for six models of the company.
Crossover GMC Terrain AT4 2021 model year goes on sale this fall. We will have to wait a bit more to get complete information about the model.

The AT4 version gets its own set of rims and a black chrome false radiator grille, as well as black wheel arches and a company logo. There should also be a lot of new things in the cabin, given that the AT4 models usually come with a significantly expanded list of equipment and trim options. At the moment, GMC only says that the Terrain AT4 boasts “a solid exterior, reliable capabilities and advanced technology.”
It is not known whether GMC specialists made any changes to the crossover engine range compared to the 2020 version. It is possible that customers will be offered a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a capacity of 170 horsepower, or a 2.0-liter analogue with a capacity of 252 hp Both engines must be connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
