Interior view: vigorous acceleration of the powerful crossover VW Tiguan R 2021September 28, 2020
A video has appeared on the YouTube channel that demonstrates the rapidly accelerating acceleration of the 2021 VW Tiguan R high-performance crossover.
VW has finally presented the “charged” crossover Tiguan R. The long-awaited novelty is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, which is also equipped with other models of the VW R sports family – the Arteon R / Arteon R Shooting Brake. The same 2.0 TSI will also be installed on the upcoming Golf R hatchback and Golf R Estate station wagon.
This engine produces 316 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds.
Not too bad for a car that weighs 1,746 kg. In fact, in real conditions, the car shows a better time compared to what was officially announced. The guys from the YouTube channel Automann did not stop there, continuing to press the gas pedal to accelerate the crossover to 200 km / h in 18.9 seconds.
Moreover, the Tiguan R went through wet road tests, which undoubtedly negatively affected its dynamic performance. All-wheel drive and 4Motion steering system minimized performance loss on slippery roads, allowing the fast crossover to accelerate to 100 km / h in less than five seconds.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote about the stylish VW Arteon Shooting Brake station wagon. Independent artist X-Tomi Design presented his vision of what the updated Volkswagen Arteon would look like in the back of a Shooting Brake station wagon The car received only two passenger doors, instead of four.
