Interior video – impudent kid BMW 128ti drives on the AutobahnMay 4, 2021
A video has appeared on the YouTube channel AutoTopNL, which shows the rather dynamic driving of the “charged” Bavarian hatchback BMW 128ti. The car managed to accelerate to 239 km / h.
A “hot” front-wheel drive hatchback isn’t what you’d expect from BMW’s famous rear-wheel-drive engineering, but the slightly more powerful 128ti hatchback is perfect for this sporty segment. This video from the AutoTopNL team, from the YouTube channel of the same name, tells about the dynamic characteristics of a car on the Autobahn.
The 128ti has a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that develops 262 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The latter is transmitted to the front axle via a Torsen limited slip differential. Official specifications indicate that the car can accelerate to 100 km / h in 6.1 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km / h. In Germany, the base price of 128ti is 37,478.99 euros or 3,395,034 rubles.
This small hatchback also features an M Sport suspension that lowers the ride height by 10mm over the standard 1 Series. There are also more powerful M Sport brakes.
The video starts with 0-60 mph, and the hot hatch hits that speed in 5.93 seconds, nearly two tenths faster than the manufacturer claims. The driver then accelerates from 100 to 200 km / h – it takes 14.88 seconds.
This is followed by a run at maximum speed. This time, the 128ti accelerates to 100 km / h in 6.06 seconds. It takes 13.92 seconds to cover a quarter mile (402 meters), and it takes 15.68 seconds to accelerate from 100 to 200 km / h. According to the speedometer, the “hot” hatchback was able to accelerate to a speed of 253 km / h, but GPS shows that it only accelerates to 239 km / h.
Not so long ago, AutoTimesNews wrote about how the powerful 2014 Shelby GT500 coupe accelerates to maximum speed. A video appeared on the Internet showing the overclocking capabilities of the Shelby GT500 sample of 2014. The car accelerates and travels at maximum speed along an abandoned airfield. The trip was recorded by a salon camera.
