Instead of a crossover, Bugatti will launch an electric supercarMarch 16, 2019
The company thought about a more affordable and practical model.
Bugatti is considering launching a second model. According to the head of the brand, Stefan Winkelman, this will be a more affordable alternative to Chiron, designed for daily trips. In addition, the new car could be the first electric Bugatti.
It is not yet known on which platform the novelty will be built, as well as the characteristics of its power plant. The management of Bugatti would like to keep the balance between dynamics and comfort in electric cars, as speed is less important for a car for every day than for a hypercar. The company has already begun to analyze the market prospects of such a model, but cannot name the debut date right now.
Now the line Bugatti, in fact, consists of one model – Chiron. Hypercar is offered in three versions: normal, Chiron Sport and the anniversary Chiron Sport 110 ans Bugatti, which is different in decor and equipment. All modifications of Chiron are completed with 8.0-liter W16 with 1500 horsepower and 1600 Nm of torque.
Chiron also built a limited coupe: the extreme Divo, which will be released in 40 pieces, and released in a single copy of La Voiture Noire. The latter made its debut in early March at the Geneva Motor Show. The hypercar differs from the donor only in a completely new body, which beats the design of the pre-war Type 57 SC Atlantic.
