Infiniti has postponed the launch date for the production of the not yet presented QX55 coupe-crossover, which was supposed to get on the conveyor in June 2020. According to the publication Automotive News, now the start of car production has been postponed for five months – until November.
At the moment, Infiniti has only shown teasers of the new model, designed to compete with small premium crossovers with a coupe-like body, for example, BMW X4 and Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
According to preliminary data, the coupe-crossover will share the main components and assemblies with the standard QX50. Such a car is equipped with a two-liter “turbo four”, issuing 272 liters. from. and 380 Nm of torque. The engine works with a variator and four-wheel drive.
The release of the new Infiniti QX55 will be established at an enterprise in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes. Thus, North American crossover sales will begin no earlier than December 2020, and it will reach other markets only in 2021.
