Infiniti is going to stop releasing the Q70 sedanOctober 25, 2019
Nissan’s premium brand continues to roll on an incline and will soon release its flagship Q70 sedan. The successor will come out, however, no sooner than 2 years later, and is likely to be an electric vehicle.
The Q70 is the oldest and at the same time poorly sold model of the Infiniti brand. From January to September of this year in America (which is the main market for the corporation) sold a total of 2196 copies, which is 36.8% less than the same time last year.
Nissan has not yet fully come up with a plan to overcome the crisis, much will depend on the decisions of the new chapter, but changes are already noticeable. So, some time ago it became known about the removal from the pipeline of the Cube model, reduction of versions of the Titan pickup.
More recently, there have been rumors of the closure of an affordable Datsun brand and the sale of European car factories. As for Infiniti, the brand has already left the markets of Europe and Australia and is currently experiencing a significant decline in sales in the United States.
It’s worth mentioning that the Infiniti brand was created specifically for the US market, where it competes with the Lexus and Acura premium brand.
In addition, it was previously reported that Nissan and Infiniti will recall more than 1.2 million cars. The recall campaign is due to the possible shutdown of the rear camera.
