Infiniti announced the premiere of a new coupe-like crossoverNovember 5, 2019
Infiniti has published a teaser image of the new global crossover. According to the press service of the Japanese brand, the car will be called QX55. So far, only the silhouette of the future car can be seen in the image. Apparently, the design of the car will resemble the first generation FX. In particular, the coupe-shaped crossover will receive a similar falling roof line.
The car will premiere next year. All other information about the new product is kept secret. It was previously reported that sales of the QX55 will start in the summer of 2020.
In April, Infiniti unveiled a concept sports sedan called the Qs Inspiration. In the future, the prototype will receive a production version. The novelty is already the fourth Infiniti concept car from the Inspiration experimental lineup following the prototypes of the Q Sport Inspiration and QX Inspiration electric crossovers, as well as the Q Inspiration sedan. These cars are designed to give an idea of the family of production cars with all-electric power plants.
It is expected that the Infiniti brand will restructure its business in the near future and leave the Western European market in order to concentrate on sales of cars in the USA and China. At the same time, Infiniti is not going to leave Eastern Europe and Russia, reports Automotive News.
The latest novelty of the Japanese brand for the Russian market was the QX60 crossover, whose sales started in June. The model received a modernized 3.5-liter engine with a capacity of 283 liters. with., which allows the car to accelerate to “hundreds” in 6.5 seconds.
