The Maple brand began its history in the 2000th and lasted until 2010, until the Geely concern dismissed it. Recently, it was decided to revive the brand and entrust it with the release of low-cost electric cars.

Not so long ago, the Maple brand was turned into a separate brand for electric cars. The first-born in a series of inexpensive “green” cars was the Maple 30X compact cross-hatchback, the basis for which was the five-door gasoline Geely Vision X3. The other day, the new product from Maple has finally acquired price lists. For the most affordable electrocross, fans of green cars in China will have to pay 68,800 yuan. Top Maple 30X will cost more – at 79,800 yuan.

Maple 30X differs from its “donor” only in the power plant: the dimensions of the electric car are the same, and its appearance is not much different from the Geely Vision X3. Recall that the length of the electric car is 4,005 mm with a wheelbase of 2,480 mm, width and height are 1,760 and 1,575 mm, respectively. In the cabin of the electric car there was a virtual dashboard, which the “donor” did not have.

The Maple 30X is powered by a 95-horsepower electric motor, combined with a lithium battery. Its capacity is enough to cover a distance of 306 kilometers.

Meanwhile, it became known that with a full autopilot, the cost of Tesla electric cars will double. In the meantime, Tesla with the Full Self-Driving package has risen in price by only a thousand dollars.
