American motorcycle manufacturer Indian showed photos of his new Challenger bagger. It features an impressive front end with a large display, and is also equipped with a powerful PowerPlus engine.
The new Indian Challenger is not exactly a classic bagger. Its main feature was the PowerPlus engine with a displacement of 1.8 liters, capable of developing up to 122 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque. According to the manufacturer, this is the most powerful motorcycle in their lineup. Its curb weight is 377 kg, which roughly corresponds to the mass of Harley-Davidson Road Glide.
The design can also be noted several features. Firstly, the front fairing looks somewhat massive, and looks like a smaller front part of a simple car. Unusual emphasizes the large front wheel with a 19-inch wheel, although a 16-inch wheel is mounted at the rear.
For the driver, a modern multimedia information system with a 7-inch touch screen is available. As well as a control unit for driving modes: Rain, Standart and Sport.
The basic version of the Indian Challenger costs $ 22 thousand in the United States, the cost of the Dark Horse modification starts at 27.5 thousand, and the buyer will have to pay $ 28 thousand for the Limited version.
