Independent designer creates stunning BMW motorcycle conceptJanuary 31, 2021
This spectacular BMW might seem awkward to drive, but it looks really cool.
Besides premium cars, BMW makes some of the best motorcycles on the market. This concept bike, created by designer Sabino Lehrenveld, demonstrates what a BMW motorcycle might look like if Bavarian engineers broke their rules.
The Sabino Lehrenveld project is a sports bike with an unusual shape and daring proportions. If such a design were to be used on a production motorcycle, it would most likely be difficult to move around on it. But as a demonstration model, this motorcycle could well exist. The motorcycle is based on a classic steel frame. Not without carbon fiber: the rear swing arms, front and rear fenders, as well as individual body elements are made from it.
The seat here is leather and rather narrow. It is located unusually high and flush with the fuel tank. On motorcycles, such a solution is very rare.
Under the seat are a pair of Ohlins shock absorbers, while twin tailpipes extend from the lower sides of the body.
All optics are LED and geometrically designed. With it, the motorcycle takes on a rather sharp and aggressive look. The concept bike also gets a miniature windshield and powerful tires.
Earlier, the tuning studio Kingston Custom presented a special version of the BMW R 18 motorcycle. Its main feature is the giant nostrils at the front. An analogy can be drawn here with the latest generation of Bavarian cars.
