In Tokyo, the presentation of the electric car Mazda MX-30October 23, 2019
Mazda has unveiled its debut electric car MX-30 at the Tokyo Auto Show. The new product can already be pre-ordered at European dealerships.
According to the brand’s press center, the crossover is designed for drivers who do not want to lose their driving pleasure while driving an electric car. The car with unusual forms of doors has a battery that can provide a range of 200 km. The Mazda MX-30 is yet another step in Mazda’s global emissions reduction program, adopted since the demonstration of the Skyactiv-X engine range.
The Mazda MX-30 electric crossover has a 5-seat layout, and its dimensions are 4395/1795/1570 mm, and the distance between the axles is 2655 mm. Electric motor recoil 143 hp and 265 Nm of torque is paired with an e-SKYACTIV transmission. The on-board system operates at a voltage of 335 V. The traction battery has a capacity of 35.5 kW / h.
Like any other brand model, the novelty turns, accelerates, slows down and is controlled with a clear predictable connection. This is achieved through a set of engineering solutions e-Skyactiv.
When driving, the perception of acceleration and speed is important for the driver, for this reason Mazda experts have developed a special speaker system that mimics the sounds of a simple car with an internal combustion engine. So, the difference in speed is noticeable even less. The specially tuned G-Vectoring Control (GVC) system, which is adapted for the electric motor, helps in this.
In the Mazda MX-30, the brand continues to follow the design concept of “less is better”, both in body geometry and interior design. From the front desk to the rear slope, the interior is perceived as a single space. Color accents on the roof complement this feeling. The original doors give the Mazda MX-30 saloon an expressive look and provide passengers with easy access not only to the front but also to the rear seats.
The interior is made from eco-friendly materials, such as faux leather. The center console is framed by a recycled cork tree. The console design provides plenty of storage space.
The interior decoration of the doors uses materials made from recycled polyethylene. Black Denim inserts in the seat trim are 20% made from recycled materials.
Mazda has always used the MX prefix for cars that challenge the industry with its design and technology. In the case of the Mazda MX-30, a completely new electric car was created with an original design and interior, excellent dynamics that will give driving pleasure to fans of the brand.
