The German manufacturer is going to release 12 electric cars by 2025 in various segments in the leading markets of the world. In addition, about a third of the company’s sales will have to be electrified versions of already existing models. On such plans announced Audi before the debut of a fully electric Audi E-tron.
The manufacturer warms up the interest of car enthusiasts on the eve of the upcoming motor show in Los Angeles, announcing their future plans. So, in the segment of electric crossovers there will be Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback, the latter will be shown next year. Electric motors will also be equipped with cars in the body of Avant and Sportback.
To create e-tron and e-tron Sportback developers used a platform with a longitudinal engine arrangement and modern technology. The components of this particular platform in the future will become the pledge of the new model SUV family. Also crossovers will receive an electric four-wheel drive quattro.
It is already known that the motor show in Los Angeles, the Germans will show a new coupe e-tron GT, which was developed in conjunction with experts from Porsche. But this is not the only project of two manufacturers: another is a platform Premium Platform Electric (PPE) specifically for electric cars. It is reported that it will form the basis of mass models.
