In the latest spy photos, the Skoda Octavia RS 2021 lost all its camouflageFebruary 26, 2020
A few days before the debut of the Octavia RS at the Geneva Motor Show in Geneva, spy photos of the new product with virtually no camouflage get on the network.
In the latest spy shots published by the foreign portal motor1.com, the Skoda Octavia RS 2021 lost 99 percent of its camouflage. Almost ready for production, a prototype caught by photo spies in Spain was a hybrid version with a plug-in module and an electrified transmission. The only disguise here is visible on the front bumper, where there are stickers that mimic the fog lights of the older Octavia model. But above them we see very real LED “fog” characteristic of RS.
From the classic Octavia, its RS version is more aggressive in appearance, with larger wheels and improved brakes.
To improve handling, a stiffer suspension was chosen, due to this it seems that the car sits slightly lower than the usual Octavia. An elegant spoiler and a new exhaust system, revealing the “hot” nature of the car, complement the image of the novelty.
The plug-in hybrid installation includes a 1.4-liter gasoline turbo engine and an electric engine. Its total output reaches 242 hp. A couple of her can make an automatic transmission with dual clutch (DSG). After the market debut of the “hot” Octavia RS iV hybrid, the traditional versions of the model will be equipped with a two-liter 241-horsepower TSI or a 197-horsepower TDI with the same displacement. Here the role of the transmission goes to 6-speed manual transmission and 7 DSG.
