At the Geneva Motor Show, the premiere of the cross-version of the restyled Jazz compact was held.

“All-road” modification was called X-Road, it is designed for the European market. On the wheel arches of the novelty are protective black lining, on the doors – moldings of the same color, on the bumpers – silver inserts. The car “stands” on 16-inch wheels. In the cabin there are no differences from the standard “five-door”, except that branded carpets have been added.

Like the usual model, the Honda Jazz X-Road is equipped with a petrol four-cylinder engine with a power of 103 hp, which works in tandem with a six-speed manual gearbox or variator. The timing of the launch of cross-version sales has not yet been announced.

Recall, the European Jazz was updated last year. The model acquired modernized optics, other bumpers and a radiator grille. In addition, the “Japanese” appeared “osportsirovanny” version of Dynamic, which externally differs more aggressive design of the exterior. Honda Jazz in the version “under the sport” is available with a 130-horsepower gasoline engine 1.5 – this engine in Europe is proposed for the first time.

The Honda compact in the Old World is not particularly popular: 34,898 cars sold in 2017. For comparison, Ford Fiesta in the past year sold Europe in a run of 255,602 copies, and Dacia, for example, sold 194,996 hatchbacks Sandero.

By the way, for developing markets Honda has developed another “entry-level” entry-level SUV – WR-V. This model is built on the basis of Jazz, but differs more “off-road” design and increased clearance. Cross produce and sell in India and Brazil, Europe does not plan to deliver it.
