The hosts of The Barn Find Hunter found in the garage, littered with old garden tools, two classic sports cars of the 1960s: the Ferrari 275 GTB and the Shelby Cobra 427. The cars were left intact for almost 30 years until the owner of the garage received a notice of his demolition.
Found Ferrari – this is the second generation of the Grand Tourer, which features an elongated bow for better stability at high speeds. The mileage is 21 thousand kilometers.
Under the hood of the machine is installed a 3.3-liter V12 engine, the output of which is 290 horsepower and 294 Nm of torque. The unit works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission. The maximum speed of the car is 260 kilometers per hour.
In 2016 at the auction Sotheby’s Ferrari 275 GTB with the body Scaglietti sold for 1 732 500 dollars.
The second finding is the original Shelby Cobra with a seven-liter Ford V8 engine with a power output of 431 horsepower. From zero to first hundred the roadster could accelerate in 4.2 seconds, and its maximum speed was 262 kilometers per hour. For cars in the Competition version – 298 kilometers per hour. The price of such a machine can be more than two million dollars.
In addition to Ferrari and Shelby, the BMW 325ix of the 80s, the 1976 Triumph TR-6 and the Morgan Plus 8 of 1978 were also found in the same garage.
In December last year, on the territory of a farm in Illinois, a rare car – a two-door Marmon Model L in 1927 – was discovered. Collectors of classic cars said that this is the last surviving instance of the model.
