Kia company has published photos of the European modification of the Soul crossover new generation. In Europe, the brand intends to sell only the electric version of the model, while in the US it will also have two gasoline engines.
The electric Soul will receive a 204-hp electric motor and a set of lithium-polymer batteries with a capacity of 64 kilowatt-hours. The power reserve of the car is not reported yet – the company promises to give all the characteristics of the model early next year.
For comparison, the Kia Niro crossover, which is offered with exactly the same power plant, can accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and pass almost 400 kilometers without recharging. In this case, in the case of using powerful 100-kilowatt charging, the car batteries can be “charged” by 80 percent in 54 minutes.
In Europe, the Kia Soul will be offered in two versions, including the top-end Designer Collection. It assumes the presence of a two-tone body color, Harman Kardon audio system with 10 speakers and an amplifier, leather trim.
For the European market, crossovers will be assembled in Korea. Deliveries of cars will begin in the first half of 2019. Now Soul second generation is available in Europe with gasoline engines with a capacity of 132 and 204 power, as well as with a 110-strong electric power plant.
In the US, in addition to the electric power plant, 149 and 204 hp gasoline engines are also available for the new Soul. In addition, the model received a “sporty” and “off-road” options – GT-Line and X-Line.
