Volkswagen officially announced the start of sales of the updated Passat model in its native market. The price tag of the basic configuration starts from 34,720 euros. Earlier, we have already analyzed in detail that the model did not receive major changes in design and design. The maximum efforts of the company were thrown on efficiency, environmental friendliness and technology.
The number of complete sets decreased. The line has completely lost its Comfortline or Highline versions, but the R-Line styling package is still available. Now the model is only available in versions: Passat, Business and Elegance.
As a power unit offers five types of gasoline and diesel engines. Two TSI petrol engines are available in versions 190 and 272 hp. Later, a version with a 1.5-liter engine may appear as part of a hybrid system. Diesel versions include 1.6- and 2.0-liter engines with power from 120 to 240 horsepower.
The most expensive version will be the cross-universal Volkswagen Passat Alltrack with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel. The cost of this version starts at 50,795 euros
