Hyundai will update the Santa Fe crossover in 2021August 10, 2020
It’s time for one of the most important Hyundai models in America.
Hyundai has officially announced its 2021 lineup in the US. While one of the important updates we noticed was the abandonment of the Elantra GT and Elantra GT N Line models, there are other lineup changes that need to be pointed out, especially with the South Korean brand’s crossovers.
Most of the models carry over from past versions such as the Kona and Tucson, which receive either a new interior trim (Kona Night Edition) or a new color option (Tucson Coliseum Gray). Palisade, on the other hand, is mostly carried over without the Calligraphy modification, as is the Nexo, which will be released in 2021 without any changes.
As for the Santa Fe, this model is probably one of the most controversial in the mentioned official release. Hyundai has labeled its 2021 Santa Fe as an “improved product,” which is vague wording for a car that should receive a significant facelift.
Note that the Santa Fe has already received an updated model outside of the US. The updated crossover now rides on a new platform and features a bold design with a huge grille and Palisade-style DRLs.
It will also receive a 265bhp version of the PHEV in Europe, but we have yet to see if it hits the US market as well. Either way, the Santa Fe should already be facelifted, so we’ll likely see a global spec model in America soon. We are only waiting for the official release.
Hyundai has yet to announce pricing for the 2021 models.
